New York Mets Podcast #65
In the midst of a warm streak (winners of five out of six games) the Mets get rained out in their series finale with St. Louis. So its on to Philadelphia for four games in three days. A big series? Yesiree!
I talk alot about the state of the offense, going through the lineup and addressing the issues. I think we need to trade for an outfielder. What do you think? Vote here.
Plus injury updates and a comment from Greg In CT.

Welcome to Amazin’ Moments, the un-official New York Mets Baseball Podcast. This is where fans of the New York Mets pro baseball team get their fix.

Hi Rob,
Just watched the Mets not sweep the Phillies…ah well, they still look like they’re back on track.
It’s been a while since I’ve communicated but I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your podcast and appreciate the forum you provide.
The Mets lost one of their first and most loyal fans this weekend…my Mom, who passed away on Saturday morning, was a fan from Day One…the year of Marvelous Marv and Roger Craig (the staff ace who lost 24 games). She celebrated the ‘69 Miracle (loved Tom Terrific and especially Jerry Koosman), developed a lifelong hatred of Pete Rose for the Buddy Harrelson incident, adopted Tug McGraw’s “You Gotta Believe” all through the very tough 70’s and early 80’s. Then when The Kid and Keith joined with Doc and Darryl, she predicted the ‘86 series win before the season. A huge Mookie fan, and thought that Lenny Dykstra was the Second Coming. Lately, she was a big fan of the two (or is is three?) Carlos’s and of course loved Jose. Never, never missed a game on TV or Radio, and until the last few years when she got weak, made it out to Shea once a year. As you might expect I’ll miss so many things about her, but especially I’ll miss the phone call after a great play, a maddening error or a walk-off win.
Here’s to you Mom…wish you could be here for the 2007 Championship…You Gotta Believe!
Thanks, Rob.
