Welcome to Amazin’ Moments, the un-official New York Mets Baseball Podcast. This is where fans of the New York Mets pro baseball team get their fix.

I think the Mets should give John Maine a shot at the starting rotation. Look at how the man pitched in the second half of the season and in the playoffs. When he pitches, he pitches in control and with confidence.

I have no doubt (unless he’s injured) that John Maine will be in the starting five.

My projection for the Rotation is Glavine, Hernandez, Maine, Perez and either Park or Pelfrey… I’d much prefer Park to pitch well and get the last spot so we can give Pelfrey as much time as we can in AAA with Humber… the more time they spend down there away from the New York spotlight the better I think… but for sure he will get a call up eventually during the season and be in the rotation full time in ’08.. but for now let’s give him time to get a bit more seasoning in the minors
