Especially at home, where Beltran has just not produced, these performances could get the Mets a World Series title. And allow me to look ahead for one moment: If the Mets face the Cardinals, four wide to Pujols EVERY SINGLE TIME - leading off an inning, with the bases loaded, whatever - he might be the only obstacle to a World Series matchup with... the A's?!?! This is how the Mets are gonna have to win a few games this postseason: taking advantage of opponents’ mistakes, moving runners along, big performances from the entire bullpen, etc…
