Where New York Mets Fans Get Their Fix

New York Mets Podcast #30

I’ve got something a little different for you on this podcast. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend this past Sunday night’s game against the Phillies. John Maine pitched a nice six innings for the win and the Mets pounded out eight runs lead by Jose Reyes’ grand slam in the bottom of the fourth. I also happened to have my portable recorder with me so we did the podcast on the fly and recorded from our seats in the alcohol free family section of the upper deck.

Show Highlights

  • Pre-game chatter plus the national anthem.
  • A discussion about Lastings Milledge and his impact on the team.
  • Recap of the first two games of the Phillies series.
  • The seven run rally in the fourth inning.
  • Seventh inning stretch, complete with Take Me Out To The Ballgame.
  • The final out plus post game chatter.

Congratulations to David Wright on his contract extension which I found out about after the game while listening to the FAN.

  1. Well now we know why Paul LoDuca was refusing interviews. The New York Post is doing all they can to make a scandal out of the situation. I hope he can stay focused at this point and keep playing great baseball.

  3. Nice – downloading it now! Yesterday was awesome weather – great being able to watch back to back Mets games on FOX and ESPN.

So anyone got a web site or video of all the Reyes hand shakes with his team mates? I luv that stuff!

  4. Who knew? Was just lucky to capture a rally. I could not believe it when Matheson through that ball away. Very lucky on the great weather. Had a very nice view of the area being cleared out for the new stadium from the upper deck.

  5. yeah…seems silly to make a big deal out of LoDuca’s marriage now when the divorce has been in the process for a while. anyway Paul is going to be on joe’s show tomorrow at noonish with the wife.
