  1. Great show Rob. I must comment on the show summary you have posted… I really like reading it before I listen to your podcast… If all possible I think you should keep posting podcasts that way.

Also I think the Mets should not trade either Milledge, Pelfrey or Humber… anyone else is fair game in my mind… We need a 3rd starter for sure… which would make Traschel our 4 and Bannister/Pelfrey our 5 which is where they all should be… In my mind I think, if he’s healthy, Livan Hernandez would be a good fit… he’s a decent pitcher.. a great innings eater… and he’ll come cheaper then Zito, Schmit, Willis and other pitchers of their caliber

Also I have heard rumblings of Miguel Batista, Benson, Rodrigo Lopez all linked to trade talks with the Mets… I think Batista would be a good fit because he can start or come out of the pen as he did with the Jays…. but the other 2 I say trade for Mrs. Benson and leave Mr. Benson in Baltimore

  2. Thanks Ron.

The way things are looking these days Trachsel might have to be the third starter. He is bucking for his 10th win tonight in Cincy.

  3. Yeah but he has had great run support lately… I don’t think he could win a 1-0 game against the Tigers, Red Sox or White Sox…. he’s just not good enough to stack up against say Verlander/Maroth, Garcia, Wakefield or even the Angels Weaver/Santana…. In my mind he’s our #4… We need someone who can win a game by themselves like Pedro and Glavine can do.
