New York Mets Podcast #19
Better late than never on this edition of the podcast. I’m on the road trying to keep up with things even though I’m on a work/vacation trip.
A recap of the final game vs. San Francisco plus the successful Dodgers series. Thoughts on the Kaz Matsui trade and Orlando Hernandez’ fine performance against Arizona.
Recorded prior to the Mets 5 home run derby against the Diamondbacks on Friday night.

Welcome to Amazin’ Moments, the un-official New York Mets Baseball Podcast. This is where fans of the New York Mets pro baseball team get their fix.

Just got finished listening to the audio, and it got me to thinking about Milledge’s hand slapping and how utterly stupid this thing got. I don’t care if he throws a party out in right field and invites the fans.
Let the kid celebrate. We should start complaining when he gets caught with prostitues while celebrating.
I am also extremely excited that we got rid of Matsui. Apparently we got some utility player, and honestly, i wouldn’t have cared if the Rockies gave us a broken baseball bat in trade for him.
Been waiting all day for the game tonight via mlb.tv to see if Soler has progressed.
Until then…
Let’s Go Mets

Another surprising start by Alay Soler. A real treat to get these kinds of performances from him and Hernandez.
The Mets are set up well to take the series today. Come on Pedro. Let’s get him some run support.
Beltran, Wright and Valentin are really rallying the offense.
Kaz who?

Incredible game tonight. A great series all around. Let’s keep up this momentum in the club and we’ll start a snowball affect so large, no one could stop us.
Nice to see Kaz’s replacement hit a double. Great Job.

About time they found some sucker for Kaz. If Matsui can’t hit at Coors then he can’t hit anywhere in North America and he should go back to Japan. Nice that the player we got can catch so now there are 3 catchers on the roster. Bad though that we’re paying all of Matsui’s contract for this year.
